Lecture 1. Rubik's cubism. Rubik's cube is the world's top-selling puzzle game. In this talk I will exhibit some of mathematical skills required for Rubik's cubism, such as programming, basic geometry, sensible labelling and colours. Finally, with some luck the audience will help to construct a picture. |

| Lecture 3. Steiner networks. You probably know that the shortest distance connecting two points is a straight line, just like building a railway between two cities. But how do you connect three points while making the length of lines connecting these points as short as possible. In this talk we examine some of the mathematics behind Steiner networks as well as investigating solutions with washing up liquid. |
