The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters has called for nominations for the Abel Prize 2013.
The Abel Prize amounts to NOK 6 million (approximately EUR 800,000 or USD 1 million)
The Abel prize recognises outstanding scientific work in the field of mathematics, including mathematical aspects of computer science, mathematical physics, probability, numerical analysis and scientific computing, and also applications of mathematics in the sciences. The Prize may be awarded to a single person or shared for closely related fundamental contributions.
