When using the Acrobat Reader 'find' facility to search for an author's name, enter the name without its first letter and without any initials.
This is necessary because, in this index, the authors' names are set using small capitals. If asked to find 'Smith' or 'SMITH', the Reader will fail to find any authors. However, if asked to find 'mith', it will find several authors called Smith.
There is no problem with words used in the titles of papers. Thus a search for 'Neumann' will find several occurrences but no authors' names. A search for 'eumann' will also reveal an author.
