The London Mathematical Society is offering two Library and Archive Student Placements an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience.
Over a seven‑week placement based at the LMS headquarters in Russell Square, you’ll work closely with the LMS Archivist and a member of Sir Christopher Zeeman’s family to help expand and organise the Zeeman Archive. This role is perfect for anyone eager to build practical skills in library and archive management, especially those considering or recently completing a relevant postgraduate course. If you’re detail‑driven, highly organised, and excited by the chance to help shape a significant historical collection, this is a rare and rewarding opportunity to contribute to preserving mathematical history while developing strong professional foundations.
Further information on the placements can be found here: Library & Archives Placement Description
