The Royal Society has released details of its newly elected Fellows, with LMS President Professor Mark Chaplain FRSE (University of St Andrews) amongst this year's cohort.
LMS Members also elected include Professor Dwight Barkley (University of Warwick), Professor Anuj Dawar (University of Cambridge) and Professor Leslie Ann Goldberg (University of Oxford). LMS Honorary Member Professor Jean-Pierre Bourguignon (Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques) was also elected.
Other notable Fellows include Professor Neil Turok (University of Edinburgh), founder of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS).
The Fellowship of the Royal Society is made up of the most eminent scientists, engineers and technologists from or living and working in the UK and the Commonwealth.
The London Mathematical Society would like to extend its congratulations to the new Fellows on their election.
