My Mathematics Success Story is...

I was born and brought up in Lahore, Pakistan. I was greatly inspired by my home supervisor (Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq) who advised me to pursue a PhD at a foreign university. Currently I am running a group called Women Mathematicians in Pakistan on social media to uplift women’s education and to improve gender balance at all levels of academia. I have also been an invited speaker at the Women in Maths and Physics conference held at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Newcastle University on 1st March, 2017. I gave a talk on Women in Science in Developing Countries. I am highly grateful to Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for The Future who support me to ingress in a PhD at Newcastle University. My dream is to set up a Women Mathematics Society that would be a platform where women can share their ideas in a broader aspect.
