The London Mathematical Society has developed guidelines and policies to help inform authors, reviewers, editors and readers.

  • Computer Aided Proofs (Updated November 2024)
    The Society supports the publication of work which relies on computer aided proofs. This guidance explains what authors should submit and how the articles will be reviewed.
  • Data Access Policy (Updated November 2024)
    The Society's Data Access Policy encourages authors to share research data and provides guidance on Data Access
  • Ethical Policy for Journals (Updated November 2025)
    The Society's Ethical Policy gives an overview of the ethical standards required of all authors, reviewers and editors.
  • Jurisdictional Neutrality (Updated September 2025)
    The Society does not take a position on any jurisdictional claims made in LMS publications. Publication of an article or book does not equal an endorsement of the views of an individual author, government or other agency.
