The LMS Nominating Committee is responsible for formally nominating candidates to fill vacancies on the LMS Council and on the Committee itself. It operates under a Memorandum of Understanding with Council.
Each year, it produces a slate of candidates who are voted into office by the LMS membership as part of the LMS Elections.

Nominating Committee membership
There are eight members of Nominating Committee, six of whom are elected. One member is nominated by Council as its representative on the Committee. The Chair is also appointed by Council.
