EPSRC has released a map of its full research portfolio with further information on how it will implement the Shaping Capability strand of its delivery plan for 2011 onward. Details of the strategy and approach to shaping capability within research themes, along with more information about individual research areas and diagrams is available on the EPSRC Website.
The LMS is actively working with its partner organisations through the Council for the Mathematical Sciences (CMS) to attempt to engage with EPSRC on its Shaping Capability agenda and to discuss the serious concerns raised by the manner in which EPSRC is approaching this matter.
