King's Birthday Honours 2025

Several mathematicians and statisticians have been recognised in the 2025 King's Birthday Honours list for their contributions to science, education, and public health. Notably, LMS member Professor Ursula Martin, Emeritus Professor at the University of Oxford, was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for services to science and education. Other mathematicians and statisticians honored include Peter Cox, Tim Cole, and Rowland Kao, who were awarded CBEs for their work in climate modeling, medical statistics, and infectious disease dynamics, respectively.
