Mathematicians Elected Royal Society Fellows

The Royal Society has released details of its newly elected Fellows which includes several mathematicians.

Mathematicians elected this year include Professor Mike Giles (Oxford), Professor John King (Nottingham), Professor Mark Lewis (University of Victoria, Canada), Professor Jason Miller (Cambridge) and Professor Reidun Twarock (York). 

The Fellowship of the Royal Society is made up of the most eminent scientists, engineers and technologists from or living and working in the UK and the Commonwealth. The new Fellows, Foreign Members and Honorary Fellows have been selected for their ‘outstanding contributions to scientific understanding’.

The London Mathematical Society would like to extend its congratulations to the new Fellows on their election.
