The Women in Mathematics Committee annually invites individuals or groups to express interest in organising and hosting a Women in Mathematics Day in academic year 2017-2018. These events are aimed at academic mathematicians (from at least postgraduate level and up and may include undergraduates). The events are intended to help early career women mathematicians when considering the next stages in their careers and typically have included mathematical talks combined with panel discussions, social opportunities and networking. For details of previous events held organised by the Society please follow the link.
Please note that the deadline for expressions of interest for events in 2017-18 has now past. The scheme will be open again to expressions of interest for events in 2018-19 in summer 2018.
Please note that funding for Women in Mathematics Days is only for academic level mathematicians. The Committee also runs a scheme to support events for school-age Girls in Mathematics and details of this funding can be found here.
