Emmy Noether Fellowships 2022: second call for applications

Application deadline: Friday 7 October 2022

The LMS Emmy Noether Fellowship Grants are intended for mathematicians who are either re-establishing their research programme after returning from a major break associated with caring responsibilities, or who require support for their research programme while dealing with significant ongoing caring responsibilities.

Grants with a value of between £2,000 and £10,000 will be awarded, depending on applicant requirements. The scheme allows applicants the flexibility to submit a proposed spend based on their own individual case. These expenses may include contributions to extra caring costs, travel costs, research assistance or some other support, without which the applicant would have difficulty re-establishing or continuing their research.

To be eligible, applicants must have a PhD in mathematics or closely related subject and be affiliated with a UK university in an academic capacity.

A second round of applications is now open, with a deadline of Friday 7 October 2022 (11:59pm). Completed applications must be sent to womeninmaths@lms.ac.uk.

The application form and guidance notes can be found at https://www.lms.ac.uk/grants/lms-emmy-noether-fellowships.
