LMS Early Career Researcher Professional Development sessions are free online panel discussions, which are aimed at Early Career Researchers and run by the LMS Early Career Research Committee. Each session focuses on a particular element of career development for Early Career Researchers.


Academic Job Search

Panellists: Alexander Kasprzyk (Nottingham; Chair), Sabine Boegli (Durham), Chris Bowman-Scargill (York), Ana Rita Pires (Edinburgh) and Lewis Topley (Bath).

This panel session will cover the basics of applying for academic jobs (what material you need, where to find jobs, etc), and offer the opportunity to ask more detailed questions.  The target audience includes both finishing PhD students and postdocs looking for their next position.
