Library & Archive Student Placements

Since 2010, the Society has run the LMS Library & Archive Student Placement scheme to assist with the management of the Society's Archive.  Under the supervision of the LMS Archivist, two students under a 12 week placement that focuses on specific projects with the aim of supporting greater access to the Society's archives via its website.

 

Recent projects have included transcribing Thomas A. Hirst's collection of letters, writing summaries of the minutes from early Council and Society meetings and cataloguing the G.H. Hardy Collection.

 

At the end of the placement, the students produce reports of their work and a collection of these reports is given here:
