Facts and Figures

It is important that the work of the LMS is supported by accurate and timely statistical information. The Society collects data on mathematics education and research from various sources and this is available to the mathematical sciences community. The data are particularly important to:

  • promote and disseminate policy issues;
  • influence policy makers;
  • use in press releases and media engagement;
  • help increase and retain members; and
  • engage with the wider scientific community
